The classic
Star Wars films return to Italy, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg as part of Twentieth Century Fox and Lucasfilm Ltd.'s worldwide re-release of the Special Edition trilogy on VHS.
The Phantom Menace was the first Star Wars experience for legions of new fans around the world. Now those fans can own the original films on home video. These boxed trilogy sets include an exclusive sneak peek into the making of Episode II.
In Italy, the films Guerre Stellari, L'Impero Colpisce Ancora and il Ritorno dello Jedi will be released on November 29, 2000. The set will be available in dubbed pan-and-scan and widescreen versions.
The Benelux countries will release a number of different versions of the films in two languages on November 22, 2000. The French-dubbed trilogy, Star Wars, L'empire Contre-attaque, and Le Retour du Jedi is set for widescreen release. The Dutch-subtitled version is set for pan-and-scan release.
