The many new fans in the United Kingdom and Germany who first discovered
Star Wars through Episode I
The Phantom Menace will be able to own the classic
Star Wars trilogy on VHS videocassette this November. Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment are releasing the Special Edition trilogy around the world.
In the UK, on November 20, 2000, the trilogy will be available for a limited time in both widescreen and pan-and-scan versions. The boxed sets have suggested retail prices at £34.99 for pan-and-scan and £39.99 widescreen.
On November 30, 2000, Germany will be releasing Star Wars -- Eine neue Hoffnung, Das Imperium schlägt zurück, and Die Rückkehr der Jedi-Ritter in widescreen only.
These boxed sets will also include the exclusive ten-minute sneak peek at the making of Episode II.
