George Lucas to Appear on A&E's Biography

[ George Lucas ]Early next year, A&E Network will present a Biography Special on the life and career of writer/director George Lucas. "George Lucas: Creating an Empire" features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Harrison Ford, Ron Howard, Carrie Fisher, Liam Neeson, James Cameron and others in a two-hour special.

From his childhood in Modesto to his aspirations of becoming a race car driver; from the terrible car accident that forever changed his life to his entrance into University of Southern California School of Cinema -- this television special chronicles not only George Lucas' early years of THX-1138 and American Graffiti, but also the incredible task of making an unlikely tale of swashbuckling space adventure into the most beloved movie series of all time. It details the innovations, challenges, and the breakthroughs of his film career, right up to the making of the current Attack of the Clones.
