New IndyShop Exclusives Launch Today
April 14, 2008

IndianaJonesShop launches three new exclusive items today, including an all-new Indiana Jones Short Round Character Key, a set of vintage Temple of Doom lobby cards, and a very rare '80s THX Indiana Jones poster! See the item descriptions below for details --

Short Round Character Key
Hot on the heels of the Indiana Jones debut Character Key from Acme Archives comes Indy's Temple of Doom sidekick, Short Round!

An IndianaJonesShop exclusive, the Short Round Character Key is limited to just 750 pieces worldwide, making it more rare than many editions released in the popular Star Wars series of Character Keys (even the debut Indy key had an edition size of 1,000!).

Short Round has been reproduced on a clear acetate cel which "floats" above the illustrated backing board displaying the character's unique color set, stats, and various sketches. The matte measures 6" x 8" and the artwork is approximately 4" x 6". The edition number is printed on a chrome metal plaque and an IndianaJonesShop-branded certificate of authenticity is included.

Temple of Doom 1984 Lobby Cards
While movie posters have traditionally been the center of attention for collectors interested in celebrating their favorite movies through displayable artwork, posters were actually only part of the ad campaign experienced by theater-goers at the lobby level. Until several years ago, posters were often accompanied by a set of eight color photographs, or lobby cards, to help familiarize potential filmgoers with actual scenes from the movie. This rare set of eight lobby cards from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom would have served that very purpose back in 1984.

Recently discovered among a stash of other vintage advertising materials housed in Lucasfilm's archives, this set of eight 11x14 inch lobby cards from the second Indy adventure depict several great scenes from the movie, and are still housed in the original plastic sleeves issued from the printer. Complete lobby card sets are traditionally much harder to find than the original release poster accompanying a movie's release, so don't miss this great opportunity to pick up a rare and limited collectible!

Vintage Indiana Jones THX One-Sheet
Here's one we'll bet you haven't seen. Remember THX? Well of course you do -- the signature "deep-note" sound effect is still heard before many of our favorite movies these days, and has become a traditional part of the theater-going experience.

Back when it was still called "Lucasfilm Ltd. THX Sound System" in the mid-'80s, select theaters which housed the state-of-the-art THX hardware got to display this rare one-sheet in their lobbies, touting the many advantages of the THX theatrical experience. What makes this particular one-sheet extra special, though, is the inclusion of 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in the poster's artwork -- that's Indy and Willie Scott making their getaway in the film's Shanghai sequence on screen, which is repeated in the film frames reproduced at upper right (we're guessing this poster either accompanied the theatrical run of Temple of Doom in 1984 or was released shortly thereafter).

This rare theatrical one-sheet, which measures 27x39.5 inches and comes rolled, represents a piece of cinematic history which would look fantastic framed up in your home theater. And the Indiana Jones content makes this specific THX poster particularly desirable.

These are available in EXTREMELY limited quantities and aren't expected to last long, so make sure to pick up yours today!

Head on over the all-new IndianaJonesShop for these and more great Indiana Jones collectibles!
