IndianaJonesShop just posted three new pieces of great Indy artwork from Acme Archives, who have recruited some stellar talent to open up a new series of giclées and lithographs based on the
Indiana Jones saga.
First is "If Adventure Has a Name" by Eric Tan, a stunning retro-inspired giclée that beautifully emulates the propaganda poster artwork style of the Indiana Jones era and genre. Rendered in duotone, the artwork includes stylized images of Indy, Marion, Belloq, and Toht (check out the spectacles and smoking gun!), all backed by classic Indy iconography -- a map, Staff of Ra, soldiers, etc.
Next is "Resolve" by Brian Rood, which features an introspective Indy with what may be the "shadowy reflection" Belloq observes of his adversary in Raiders of the Lost Ark. A beautiful, insightful piece, and worthy addition to any Indiana Jones collection.
"Escaping the Tomb" by Patrick Schoenmaker depicts a tooned-up Indy and Marion staving off the darkness in Raiders of the Lost Ark's Well of Souls. This piece makes you wish for a fully-animated Indy adventure!
