May 22 is getting closer and closer, and
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will soon be in theaters. Here's a summary of some of the latest Indy headlines:
Empire of the Crystal Skull
The May issue of Empire magazine shines a major Staff-of-Ra spotlight on the new Indy adventure. This issue comes bundled with a collector's book, The Indiana Jones Diaries, an amazing collection personal essays (by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford) and exclusive photoshoots from the people behind the greatest movie character ever. Also, the magazine has a feature story on Crystal Skull with several brand new photos. The official Empire website has all the details, including some new behind-the-scenes videos. Find out more at Empire's official site here. Empire magazine comes out in the UK first this week, with US releases following soon thereafter.
Double-Decker Omnibus
You may have read about Dark Horse's Indiana Jones Omnibus series that collects Indy's great comic book adventures in thick, trade paperback volumes. This week, these will also appear in the UK and elsewhere thanks to Titan Books. These are adventures that live only in comic books: Join Indy and former colleague-turned-stage-psychic, Sophia Hapgood as they race the Nazis around the world to discover the Fate of Atlantis! Dr. Jones gets a new sidekick and takes on the Japanese army in a quest for a powerful relic in Thunder in the Orient! Also featuring Indiana Jones and the Arms of Gold, this is a whip-crackingly good addition to any Indy fan's collection! You can find out more here.
