The Adventures of Young
Indiana Jones Volume Three arrives on DVD on April 29th in a ten-disc boxed set (
see the original announcement here). Here's a look at what's on the third disc.
Treasure of the Peacock's Eye (1:34:24) The war in Europe is winding to an end but a new era of adventure in Indy's life begins -- a globe-trotting, treasure-seeking kind that he'll soon grow accustomed to. It starts on the last day of battle in the trenches, where Indy and Remy are reunited to track down a suspected traitor on the battlefront. As they near the supposed turncoat, he's already dying, and his last pained words, "the eye of the peacock..." and a mysterious map hidden among his belongings set Indy and Remy seeking out the fabled diamond of Alexander the Great.
Indy follows the trail from London to Alexandria, where he once again meets Howard Carter, who is this time joined by E.M. Forster. A few tips in the right direction point him towards the South Seas, where a dangerous one-eyed German stays a step ahead of the treasure-seekers. The high seas escapades turn deadly when a murderous band of Chinese pirates board their ship, and Indy and Remy must escape not only with their lives, but with their tenuous leads to opening a priceless treasure intact.
This leads them being marooned on a remote island filled with savage headhunters. But before long, Indy is rescued by Bronislaw Malinowski, an anthropologist living among the natives. In taking stock of everything he has seen, and the life he has lived, Indy makea a life-altering decision and heads on a path that takes him away from his friend Remy.
Treasure of the Peacock's Eye stars Sean Patrick Flanery as Indy and Ronny Coutteure as Remy. Guest-stars include Adrian Edmondson ("The Young Ones") as Zyke, Jayne Ashbourne ("New Street Law") as Lily, with Tom Courtenay (The Golden Compass) as Bronislaw Malinowski.

Bronislaw Malinowski: God Professor (0:29:34) In 1915, a Polish scholar named Bronislaw Malinowski landed on a tiny island off the coast of New Guinea. He had come as an anthropologist -- a scientist who studies the origins and behavior of human kind. He had come to investigate the lifestyle, customs and beliefs of the people who lived there. The methods he would develop to conduct his investigation would change anthropology forever.
Produced by Mark Page and Jennifer Petrucelli; Written by Mark Page.
Anthropology: Looking at the Human Condition (0:23:48) For over 100 years anthropologists have been learning from people in every corner of our world, and using the data they gather to create a group portrait of the human race. And wherever they find their subjects -- whether they live on the other side of the globe or just down the block, hang out in a tropical rainforest, a corporate boardroom or a parking lot, anthropologists help us to understand our fellow human beings, and our selves. Produced by Mark Page and Jennifer Petrucelli; Written by Mark Page.
New Guinea: Paradise in Peril (0:25:04) A land of mystery and danger, it's been said that New Guinea contains more strange and new and beautiful things than any other part of the globe. Located off the coast of southeast Asia just North of Australia, this rugged and vast tropical island was one of the last places on Earth to be explored by white men. Tantalizing glimpses of the fierce people who lived in New Guinea as well as the island's stunning plant and animal life have long lured Western adventurers looking to make new discoveries. They were not disappointed. Produced and Written by Betsy Bayha.
