Four of the key visual artists who worked on the new chapter of the Star Wars saga will explain and demonstrate their breakthrough achievements. Dennis Muren will explain the film's ground battle effects and underwater sequences; John Knoll will reveal the visual effects used to create the spaceships and Podracers; Scott Squires will talk about the beautiful Theed Palace sequences; and animator Rob Coleman will focus on the creation and animation of Episode I's computer-generated creatures.
The presentation takes place on October 9, 1999, at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the DGA Theater, 110 West 57th Street, Manhattan. Tickets are $25 for the general public and $17.50 for Museum members. Tickets can be ordered through AMMI, at (718) 784-4520 or at www.ammi.org.
