The first set of autographed
Star Wars Planet Mats auctioned as a fundraiser for MediCinema helped raise a tremendous amount of money for the charity as generous
Star Wars collectors bid on a rare opportunity to own unique
Star Wars collectibles autographed by an unparalleled roster of
Star Wars stars.
The next set of Star Wars Planet Mats -- the third and fourth in a series of six -- is now being auctioned online for charity. Currently up are Tatooine and Dagobah. Each of the six mats is autographed by the following Star Wars stars:

The mats were originally produced for a 2002 fundraising dinner and screening of
Attack of the Clones. Jerome Blake, patron of MediCinema, came up with the idea of autographing the mats and auctioning them to raise money for MediCinema. With his appearance in Episode III as Mas Amedda, he was able to secure the autographs of all of
Revenge of the Sith's principal performers.
Look for the remaining planetary maps to auctioned shortly, including Kamino and Hoth. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to MediCinema, the charity that installs state-of-the-art cinemas in hospitals for patients.
With big screen, surround sound, tiered seating and 35 mm projector MediCinema screens present day releases to patients including those in beds and wheelchairs. Sitting in the all encompassing environment of a cinema the patients, joined by their families and carers, can enjoy the magic of the silver screen, with nursing staff on duty throughout each and every screening. Admission is free to this very special audience, an audience who can't go home at the end of the movie.
