Available now in Germany is the latest issue of
Star Wars Das Offizielle Magazin, the official magazine of the German
Star Wars Fan Club.
Continuing the celebration of the Star Wars 30th anniversary is the second of a four-part series that looks back at the classic trilogy years (1977-1983) featuring rare storyboards, photos and little-known facts.
Also in this issue is a new interview with actor David Prowse -- the man who played the Darth Vader in the classic movies. Next up, Industrial Light & Magic's Brian Gernand talks about building models for the Mustafar set in the second of a three-part series. Discover funny and interesting facts about the famous Marvel Star Wars comics and learn all about early Star Wars bootleg merchandise. The German Garrison discusses their favorite memories of marching in the 2007 Rose Parade, and Oliver Döring chats about the "Labyrinth of Evil" radio plays -- based on the novels by James Luceno. Finally, author Karen Traviss delivers the second part of a new story called "Odds."
Fan Club members get some added content in the supplemental Journal of the Whills, which includes a report about a special kind of autograph convention in Cheshunt, England, notes from the annual meeting 2006 of the German Star Wars fan organization, and a feature on OSWFC member Peter Sauer who attended to a project giving a Dagobah landscape his personal touch. As always, there are letters from readers, fan artwork, merchandise news, fandom reports, and more.
