On May 25, 1977,
George Lucas gave the world its first glimpse of a galaxy far, far away, and we have never been the same.
Thirty years after that unforgettable time, Titan Magazines -- the world's leading publisher of officially licensed film and television magazines -- is proud to announce that it will take over publication of Star Wars Insider, the magazine that has long been the official source of Star Wars news and features for Star Wars fans all over the world.
Titan will utilize its wealth of experience and understanding of both the science-fiction/fantasy and entertainment markets to raise Star Wars Insider to a new level of excellence.
When Celebration IV, the biggest gathering of Star Wars fans in the galaxy, commemorates the 30th Anniversary of the saga in Los Angeles in May, Star Wars Insider will relaunch to mark this incredible event. It's another in an unprecedented series of events throughout 2007 that marks this milestone anniversary.
Join the Star Wars galaxy and be a part of the year's biggest anniversary celebration with the all-new Star Wars Insider.
For more information on Titan Magazines' portfolio of titles, which includes Lost, 24, Star Trek, Charmed, Smallville, Stargate SG:1/Atlantis, Prison Break, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Grey's Anatomy, as well as the official Star Wars Magazine in the U.K., please see: www.titanmagazines.com.

The New Star Wars Insider Questions and Answers
From 2004 through March of 2007 for U.S. and Canadian residents, having a subscription to the Star Wars Insider also has meant being a member of Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club.
Effective April 1, 2007, the Fan Club (Hyperspace) and the magazine (Insider) will become two separate products.
If I want both a subscription to the Star Wars Insider and a Hyperspace/Fan Club membership, will it cost me more now?
No! In fact, there is an introductory price for a subscription to Star Wars Insider for $24.99 a year for six issues. The subscription consists of four regular issues and two Special issues a year. After Celebration IV, the subscription price will rise to the normal $29.95 on June 1. An annual subscription to Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club will cost $14.95, down from the current International price of $19.95.
How does this affect my current subscription?
If you are currently a subscriber, your subscription will continue through the end of its run. Titan Magazines will immediately pick up publication of Star Wars Insider after the current publisher's last issue, #92, which ships shortly. There won't be any gap. For the Hyperspace Fan Club, the auto-renew option will be eliminated. Once your current membership expires (as determined from your last renewal date) you will need to purchase another year from StarWarsShop.com.
How does this affect my Celebration benefits?
Members of the Star Wars Fan Club get an exclusive extra day at Star Wars Celebration IV and daily early admission to Celebration Europe. If you are a Hyperspace member during the time of the events, you receive the special admission privileges and other benefits. If you purchase Fan Club membership for the extra benefits before April 1, 2007, you are also subscribing to six issues of the Star Wars Insider.
After April 1, 2007, if you subscribe to the Fan Club, you do get access to the extra benefits at the Celebration events, but you do not get a subscription to the Insider. The lowered subscription price of Hyperspace reflects that.
After April 1, 2007, if you subscribe only to Star Wars Insider, this does not include Fan Club membership, which will need to be purchased separately. If you purchase only an Insider subscription and not a Fan Club membership, you will not be eligible for Celebration benefits.
In the past, you could only buy a joint subscription to Insider and Hyperspace. Will that change?
Yes. As we noted, subscriptions to Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club and to Star Wars Insider will be separate. Separating the two subscriptions gives fans more flexibility to get the benefits best suited to them.
Will Insider still be available on newsstands?
Absolutely! Star Wars Insider will be available on newsstands and wherever magazines are sold in the U.S. and Canada.
What about the Fan Club? Any changes in joining, benefits, etc.?
Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club will continue to thrive, and will be adding benefits. The Club will focus on exclusives at fan events, like the extra day at Celebration IV and early admission to Celebration Europe (along with many other benefits); enhanced membership kits; and hopes to do more regional events exclusively for Fan Club members.
There also will be online benefits, such as content exclusives (Star Wars Insider Online Supplement, Bantha Tracks Online, for example), early access to select online features and functionality, an online membership kit of downloadable goodies, significant StarWarsShop discounts and exclusive buying opportunities.
Membership to Hyperspace will continue to be available through StarWarsShop.com.
Why the change?
Based on feedback from fans, we felt that it would be better to offer people the choice of getting either the entire package or the individual components. As for having the Insider published by Titan Magazines, we have long believed that change is a good thing for the magazine. We've been fortunate to have so many great publishers with a passion for Star Wars to contribute their vision to the Insider as it has evolved over the years. Titan brings with it years of experience in publishing movie and television magazines worldwide, and has been publishing Star Wars magazine in the U.K. (and now Australia) for a decade.
