The next issue of Lucasfilm Magazine -- the magazine of the Official French Star Wars Fan Club -- celebrates this month's release of the original unaltered trilogy on DVD with an article that dusts off a few old fossils, and that features two separate covers. The newsstands version sports the cover art of the Return of the Jedi DVD, while the subscriber version has the A New Hope one. Here's a look inside at what's featured in this issue.

The hot summer movie season has been made explosive and fantastic by the efforts of Industrial Light & Magic, and an exclusive article looks at the creativity and ingenuity that resulted in Mission Impossible III, Poseidon and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Find out who's who in on the dark side of Star Wars: Legacy, the new comics series that is blazing new territory in the Expanded Universe. Also from the world of Star Wars art is the third and final installment of the multi-part Ralph McQuarrie interview. The visionary who captured the first images of the far-away galaxy in sketches and production paintings discusses his contributions to the final film of the original trilogy, Return of the Jedi.

This issue looks back at the legacy of David Tomblin, First Assistant Director of Return of the Jedi, and Bernard Loomis, the man who created the 3 3/4-inch action figure at Kenner. This issue also celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Raiders of the Lost Ark, with exclusives interviews with all the members of the French crew, full of new anecdotes, and never before seen photos.

Also in this issue, Oscar-nominated Creatures Supervisor Dave Elsey chats about the techniques he used to create the Emperor and the burned Anakin in Episode III. From LEGO Star Wars II : The Original Trilogy to the mysterious next-gen Star Wars video game, the further adventures in a galaxy far, far away continue in a huge LucasArts preview.
