Italian fans got a special look into the world of
Wookiees, droids and
Jedi Masters with opening of
Star Wars The Show at the La Triennale museum on May 13. The extensive exhibit pays tribute to the making of all the six films in the saga complete with some never-seen-before footage from the final episode
Revenge of the Sith.
Drawings, production paintings, blueprints, models, furniture, props and costumes are on display in a 13,000-square-foot exhibit that brings together over 200 original pieces from the archives of Lucasfilm.
As the largest press event in recent La Triennale history included members of Italy's television, radio, magazine and newspaper industry. In addition to the President of La Triennale, special guests included the Director of 20th Century Fox/Italy as well as Kathleen Holliday, Jennifer McKenna and Valentina Dose of Lucasfilm. Special guest, actor Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) regaled the media in Italian and received an especially warm reception from the fans in attendance.
