The last stop for the traveling Smithsonian's Star Wars: Magic of Myth exhibition tour is undergoing final preparations for its September 18 opening. The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney Australia is the venue, and props, artwork and costumes from all five Star Wars films will be showcased. Representatives from Lucasfilm, the Smithsonian and the Powerhouse Museum are busily preparing the exhibit for the public.

Even though the exhibit has yet to open, the international press has picked up the story. Here, Hong Kong journalists cover the installation of the exhibit.

One of the most visited Smithsonian exhibitions of all time, "The Magic of Myth" first opened in 1997 at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. It has been on tour throughout the United States since 1999. The Powerhouse Museum marks its final stop, and the only Australian venue of its tour. It is scheduled to run from September 18, 2002 to February 2, 2003.
