Today is the start of the second of five consecutive weekends at Disney-MGM Studios celebrating the
Star Wars saga. The
picture viewer has recently been updated with new, fun images direct from
Star Wars Weekends in Florida.
The celebrity guests for May 21,22, and 23 are Peter Mayhew and Jerome Blake. Mayhew is best to known to fans as the towering and ever-loyal Wookiee, Chewbacca. Seen in each of the original films, Chewie is set to make an exciting appearance in the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode III. Blake played a variety of roles in Episode I, from the slimy Neimoidian schemer Rune Haako, to Mas Amedda, the booming voice of order in the Galactic Senate. Both are participating in celebrity motorcades, question-and-answer sessions, and autograph sessions.
Other fun activities continuing this weekend are the Jedi Training Academy, where youngsters train in the art of the lightsaber to face off against Darth Vader or Darth Maul; the Galactic Game Show, where Star Wars trivia mavens compete in a "Who Wants to Be A Millionare"-type setting; roaming costumed characters from the entire saga, including new bounty hunters, clone troopers, and even Mickey Mouse as a Jedi; and the ever-popular Star Tours attraction.
