The
Star Wars Saga will continue in 2008 with LucasArts' biggest-ever video game event. Set during the "dark times" between Episodes III and IV,
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed portrays the previously untold story of
Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice -- and here's your chance to get the inside scoop!
Join LucasArts' Haden Blackman and Julio Torres as they discuss how they're using one of 2008's biggest video games to realize the Force in ways you've never seen before. Also on hand, two of the game's actors speak about their roles. A first-look documentary takes you even further behind the scenes of The Force Unleashed, and the panel awaits audience questions at the end of the presentation.
The Force Unleashed Panelists at Celebration Europe:
Haden Blackman (Project Lead)
As Project Lead, Haden Blackman is responsible for the vision and production of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Already an accomplished writer, Blackman joined LucasArts as Writer/Researcher in 1997, where he played key writing and voice-direction roles on Star Wars games for several years. In 2001, he stepped into the role of Producer for Star Wars Galaxies and then moved on to The Force Unleashed in 2004. His Star Wars writing credentials extend to Dark Horse comic books and Del Rey's New Essential Guides.
Julio Torres (Producer)
Julio Torres focuses on several aspects of production for The Force Unleashed, including quality assurance and audio, and he acts as a key liason between the team and first-parties (Microsoft and Sony), marketing, public relations and consumer insights. Torres started at LucasArts in 1997 as a tester, but soon climbed through the ranks to QA Lead, Assistant Producer and finally Producer in 2005. He takes pride in his key roles to the success of both Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and he has also helped improve such other LucasArts franchises as Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Star Wars Racer, Indiana Jones and Star Wars Obi-Wan.
Nathalie Cox (Juno Eclipse)
Nathalie Cox brings an intriguing mix of beauty and brains to her role as Juno Eclipse in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The British actress started her career as a fashion model, and as demonstrated by Banana Republic's latest billboard campaign, her modeling continues to flourish in that arena. Cox also remains dedicated to a career in acting. Her involvement in The Force Unleashed, numerous British television programs, and movies such as Kingdom of Heaven (where she played the wife of Balian, Orlando Bloom's character) prove we'll certainly be seeing her on screen for years to come.
Sam Witwer (Secret Apprentice)
Excited to play the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Chicago native Sam Witwer is best known as Lt. Crashdown in Sci-Fi's "Battlestar Galactica". Witwer also has impressed audiences with his portrayal of the squirrelly Neil Perry, a recurring troublemaker on Showtime's critically acclaimed series "Dexter". Most recently, Witwer completed shooting for his first major feature film role, Wayne Jessup in Stephen King's The Mist. Prior television appearances include roles in "JAG", "ER", "Arli$$", "Dark Angel", "Angel", "NCIS", "She Spies", "Cold Case" and more. In his spare time, Witwer writes and sings lead for his Los Angeles band, The Crashtones.
