The Celebration Europe Art Show will bring together an incredible roster of talented artists, most of whom have contributed to the overall look, feel, and atmosphere of the
Star Wars galaxy through their work for the movies, books and comics in the Expanded Universe, and for licensed
Star Wars products worldwide.
Browse the works of almost 30 artists in Exhibit Hall S6/S6, as you enjoy pieces inspired by the rich palette of 30 years of Star Wars. Artists in the Art Show are each offering a limited edition print that will be for sale only at Celebration Europe.
Here is the final of three lists of the artists, and their art, scheduled to be featured at Celebration Europe. For the previous two list, click here and here.
Cynthia Cummens is a Chicago-based freelance illustrator. Her art can be seen in
Star Wars Insider,
StarWars.com/kids and on limited edition prints for Celebration III and IV. She has illustrated hundreds of sketch cards for three sets from Topps:
Star Wars: Heritage,
Revenge of the Sith, and
Star Wars 30th Anniversary. Her art also has been seen in trading card sets for film and television properties such as
Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Family Guy, Doctor Who, Shrek and
Hellboy. She is currently writing and illustrating her first children's book. See more at

Cynthia Cummens' Celebration Europe piece is all about girl power, Star Wars style. From Padmé to Mon Mothma, the Star Wars Universe has always been inhabited by strong women. Not only have they been noble leaders but warriors as well. I would put Zam, Aurra, Shaak Ti or Aayla up against any of our favorite Star Wars guys any day of the week.
Originally emerging from the depths of Hull, in the North of England, London-based graphic artist JAKe's work first come to prominence via his portraits of artists such as Massive Attack, Beastie Boys and Oasis. It was his iconic work for the Prodigy on the
Fat of The Land LP that first brought him to the attention of an international audience. Other projects along the way include Ugly Duckling, Steinski/Sugarhill Records, Lucasfilm (
Star Wars, Indiana Jones), and the Hip Hop Immortals events, as well as collaborating with Carhartt, onedotzero, Colette, Comme des Garcons, and Japanese t-shirt label 2K. JAKe is the writer/director of 'Geekboy,' an acclaimed series of animated shorts for Sci Fi Channel, and the creator of the BADjUjU characters, which were released as collectable figures in 2002. His next figure, 'Enough Apes Already (Another JAKe Ape)', made the transition to vinyl in December 2004. He has been an official
Star Wars artist since 1999. See more at

A lot has changed in 30 years. In 1977, most people hadn't heard much about Anime, Manga, or street art. Flash forward to 2007 and no one bats an eye when they see work by Jake Steel. It is accepted for what it is --- GOOD! Most fans will recognize JAKe's chunky-cartoon style, as it has been emblazoned on T-shirts all over the world, and on the Star Wars Celebration IV badges.
Dan&dan are rumoured to be magicians from the time of the Normans cast into the future by magic. Upon entering the twentieth century they decided to hone their thinking & drawings skills to a point where they could earn a few meager ha'pennies. They are the creators of Jasper Stank, the yoorayneeum pig farmer and have worked with companies far & wide including Puma, Heavy Metal and Konami. Dan&dan are also the curators of
Star Wars Celebration Europe's Arts Wars exhibition and are in the process of negotiating the film rights for their forthcoming graphic novel
Monster Hunter Cartigan.
Everyone is going to Celebration Europe and we mean everyone! In Dan Lish's eyes, London truly is the center of the universe. Han Solo himself pilots a double-decker bus on a guided tour of London. Let's hope he is on the right side of the road!
Randy Martinez has been a fan favorite in the
Star Wars universe since 1999 when his whimsical yet finely-painted illustrations first appeared on the pages of
Star Wars Kids Magazine. Since that time Randy's illustrations have graced the pages of
Star Wars Insider. He's taught "How to Draw
Star Wars" on starwars.com, and completed 6000 sketch cards for Topps'
Star Wars trading cards. Known primarily for his humorous portrayal of the
Star Wars universe, Randy has been branching out to doing non-humorous illustrations for the
Star Wars Insider, and most recently illustrated the cover of the
Star Wars Celebration IV and Celebration Europe collectible programs.
"Sith -- The Power of the Dark Side, Live at Wembley Stadium" captures Randy's vision of the world, and how Star Wars bleeds into everything he sees. The crossover between Star Wars and Rock-n-Roll was a natural one for the rock musician and artist. Martinez also created the cover of the souvenir program book for Celebration Europe, paying homage to a British pop culture classic with a Star Wars soon-to-be classic. "I love Star Wars. To be part of this iconic cultural phenomenon is truly a dream come true."
Terese Nielsen entered the comic book field in 1992, illustrating superheroes for numerous collectable card sets. Soon to follow were fully-painted comics for Marvel, and covers for Topps'
Xena the Warrior Princess and Dark Horse's
Star Wars line. In 1996, Wizards of the Coast caught wind of her work and to date has illustrated more than 140 images for the world-famous
Magic: the Gathering game. Therese has painted covers for computer and video games, working for every major gaming company in the industry. Her art can also be found on numerous book covers. Having amassed 15 years of knowledge and experience, Terese is currently developing educational materials that teach artists important aspects of technical skill, creativity, and business development. Terese now resides in Temple City, California with her partner and their four teenagers.
Fanboys get in line! Terese Nielsen captures both the elegance and rugged attitude of our favorite Senator. The rich color and use of light pushes this illustration to another level. The beautiful Padmé never looked so good.
Cat Staggs joined the
Star Wars family in 2004 illustrating more than 130 sketch cards for the
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith set. The highly-collectible artist sketch cards brought Staggs into the Star Wars fan forefront and she quickly took on other projects including a
Celebration III exclusive print, drawing tutorials, and Halloween masks for the kid's section of StarWars.com. She's also been featured in the
Lord of the Rings card sets Evolution and Masterpieces for Topps; for Rittenhouse Archives, she has worked on the Complete Marvel
Avengers and the upcoming DC Legacy card sets, as well as the soon-to-be-released Worlds Finest VS trading card game with Upperdeck. See more at
http://www.airbrushcat.com.
Cat Staggs celebrates the Empire's unsung heroes: TIE fighter pilots. Every day these pilots strap in and blow Rebel scum out of the sky. They don't ask for thanks. They are just doing their job. Show your support for the Empire and buy this stunning piece. All hail Palpatine!
Chris Trevas began his official
Star Wars career in 1995 after growing up with the original trilogy and his Kenner action figures. He has since created artwork for a multitude of
Star Wars projects including books, magazines, games, trading cards, packaging, and toy design. His client list includes many
Star Wars licensees such as Wizards of the Coast, Random House, DK Publishing, Golden Books, Scholastic and Topps among others. Recently, Trevas illustrated the book
Star Wars:
The New Essential Guide to Alien Species, and he is currently working on the next guide in the series
Star Wars:
Jedi vs. Sith - The Essential Guide to the Force. See more at
www.christrevas.com.
Chris Trevas has turned in both a subtle and stunning piece. Notice how our heroes are looking to Luke. As he leaves his desert farm, the fate of the galaxy is resting on his shoulders.
Brent Woodside, also known as Nihm, is a freelance illustrator and writer. The standard theme for his work is Sci-Fi or Fantasy, but he has been known to draw just about anything. This new work by Brent Woodside gets us even more excited for the new animated series!
Anakin and
Jedi Master Kenobi are ready to do battle against the mechanized forces of the
Trade Federation. This inventive layout and stark background make for an interesting piece. Make sure to pick one up at Celebration Europe.
Roger! Roger!
Special thanks to Lucasfilm's David Iskra, for his invaluable work on the Celebration IV and Celebration Europe Art Shows.
