The Celebration Europe Art Show will bring together an incredible roster of talented artists, most of whom have contributed to the overall look, feel, and atmosphere of the
Star Wars galaxy through their work for the movies, books and comics in the Expanded Universe, and for licensed
Star Wars products worldwide.
Browse the works of more than 30 artists in Exhibit Hall S6/S6, as you enjoy pieces inspired by the rich palette of 30 years of Star Wars. Artists in the Art Show are each offering a limited edition print that will be for sale only at Celebration Europe.
Here is a look at the second of three list of the artists, and their art, scheduled to be featured at Celebration Europe. (The first list is here).
Matt Busch has been illustrating licensed
Star Wars projects for over 13 years, with art appearing on the covers of books, in magazines, and on a number of posters including the 25th anniversary poster for
The Empire Strikes Back. Most recently, Busch illustrated over 300 drawings and paintings for the book
You Can Draw Star Wars! Busch has also worked with
The Lord of the Rings, The Crow, The Hulk, Battlestar Galactica, Night of the Living Dead, The Mummy, and
Star Trek; as well as music acts like Alice Cooper, Beastie Boys, Beck, Foo Fighters, Garbage, Kid Rock, Billy Joel, Poison, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Ozbourne, and Jessica Simpson. See more at
MattBusch.com.
Matt Bush is doing a special set of very limited prints for Celebration Europe. The first print takes us back to a classic moment of triumph for our rebel heroes. Little did movie-watchers know that the medal ceremony wasn't the end of Star Wars but merely the beginning. The second image shows what again people might think is the last image they'll ever see of Star Wars. They couldn't be more wrong. While they may not see it on the big screen, Star Wars is far from over.
Joe Corroney has been creating official
Star Wars artwork since 1996 for Lucasfilm and its licensees, including West End Games, Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Topps, and Dark Horse Comics, and illustrating regularly for
Star Wars Insider, the Official Fan Club magazine. Other licenses and professional publishers on his resume include
Angel and
24 for Twentieth Century Fox;
The Lord of the Rings for New Line Cinema; Marvel Comics; DC Comics; IDW Publishing; Xbox; and
Star Trek for Paramount Pictures. See more at
www.JoeCorroney.com.
Joe Corroney describes his work as "A forgotten legacy revived, an echo of hope penetrating the darkness. A prophecy still lingers, biding it's time, as the son of the chosen one emulates his unfulfilled destiny. The hands of fate await once more for balance to be restored to the Force, and peace restored to the galaxy."
Tom Hodges has been drawing
Star Wars since he was five years old, but it's been only since 2004 that Lucasfilm started paying him for his web-strips. While he has no chance of getting paid retroactively for those other years, he is happy to be in the position he's in right now. More of his work, both
Star Wars and other illustrations can be found at
http://www.tomhodges.com. Tom resides in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Terri, son Logan and their seven cats (no...we're not joking).
Our heroes have always been a cool bunch of misfits but Tom Hodges has gone and made them even more so! By paying homage to a cousin movie to another classic Ewan McGregor film, our lineup of heroes take on a distinctly European flavor. Take this piece of London home with you from Celebration Europe!
Adam Hughes is probably best known for his comic book cover art. A life-long
Star Wars fan, Adam is responsible for the covers of
Darth Vader: Purge, Boba Fett: Overkill, and six covers for
Star Wars:
Legacy, all for Dark Horse Comics. Most often called a "Good Girl" artist, Hughes' four-year run on Wonder Woman covers for DC Comics solidified his spot as a fan favorite. Outside the
Star Wars Universe, you can currently find Adam's eye-catching work gracing the monthly covers of DC's
Catwoman.
Adam Hughes is known for his renditions of lovely ladies, and this piece is a prime example. The classic fanboy's favorite version of Leia is depicted in an art nouveau lithograph based on the idea that every crime lord has a legitimate business as a front. One of Jabba's is Dune Sea Cruises. As we all know, this might not be a luxury cruise, but is bound to be entertaining! Find Adam's table quickly as these are sure to go as rapidly as prisoners go overboard on Jabba's sail barge.

Brian Rood captures the drama of the Star Wars saga in this amazing piece created just for Celebration Europe. There is a deep sense of foreboding as heroes and villains from all six films realize the fate of the galaxy is at stake. A stunning piece that will add mood to any room.
Allison Sohn is a recent addition to the
Star Wars family of artists. Working as a sketch card artist for Topps, Allison was asked to add her renderings of the much-loved characters from
Star Wars:
A New Hope to Topps' 30th anniversary set of collectible cards. You can see more of Allison's work on the Topps sets
Lord of the Rings: Evolution and
Lord of the Rings: Masterpieces, as well as on the Upper Deck VS gaming system, for the soon to be released DC set "Worlds Finest". See more at
www.allisonsohnart.com.
"The Princess" by Allison Sohn: It takes four stormtroopers to wrangle everyone's favorite, feisty Princess, and four clone troopers to keep up with everyone's favorite senator. This striking piece by Allison Sohn is a refreshing contrast to more traditional Star Wars art. Sohn shows a great use of the color white, a far cry from the oft-seen fields of stars and spaceships.
Marc Wolfe is a newcomer to the Lucasfilm family. He is a freelance illustrator specializing in military art, comic art, and Sci-Fi fantasy illustration. Marc works mainly in the comics and entertainment fields, producing cover illustrations for various comic publishers. Currently Marc is doing sketch cards for the 30th anniversary of
Star Wars collector set, as well as Boba Fett and Slave Leia paintings for Lucasfilm licensee Mello Smello, to be turned into limited edition 3-D lenticular posters exclusively for
Star Wars Celebration IV. See more at

Tatooine is truly a Gangster's paradise. The most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett, takes some much-needed time to relax with the ladies. As for the Jawa, he's just lucky to be there.
