Star Wars Celebration Europe is looking for a
George Lucas or two (or 20). In homage to the creator of
Star Wars, any person who shares his name will be admitted FREE of charge to the event.
Marking the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars Saga, Celebration Europe at London's ExCeL July 13-15 will be Europe's ultimate party for all things related to a galaxy far, far away.
So if your name is George Lucas, all you have to do is arrive at ExCeL during the event with an acceptable photo identification that proves that George Lucas is your name, come to the ticket collection booths and claim a FREE entry. Simple!
We hope to gather the largest assembly of George Lucas's together for a commemorative photo to mark this landmark event. Plaid shirts and beards are not compulsory.
You will also find a giant 30th anniversary "Thank the Maker" card at Celebration Europe, on which visitors will be able to write their own message to mark the anniversary and offer personal thoughts on the Saga . After the event the card will be shipped to the George Lucas (who's currently in production on the newest Indiana Jones adventure) and will enter the Lucasfilm Archives as a permanent record of Europe's 30th anniversary Celebration.
But don't worry if your name is not George Lucas -- you can still attend Celebration Europe and enjoy the fun, including celebrity guests, interactive activities, Jedi training, exclusive merchandise and so much more. Admission starts at just 21 for a one-day pass to all of the festivities.
