Fans at Celebration Europe are looking to find a band, solo artist or motley crew worthy of being crowned the Celebration Europe Cantina Band by performing the ultimate piece of Star Wars inspired music!

If you've got what it takes to write something worthy of performance in Jabba's Palace or the Mos Eisley Cantina, you could find yourself playing live on stage in front of adoring Star Wars fans at Celebration Europe in London on July 14th 2007.

Your entry could be an original composition influenced by Star Wars, or a parody or a new version of the Star Wars classics! And any genre of music qualifies, as long as it's suitable for a family audience.

The two finalist bands, based on popular vote on the site, will be announced on starwars.com/celebration, and then will perform at Celebration Europe in front of a live audience of fellow Star Wars fans.

The winning act will be crowned Celebration Europe Cantina Band 2007. In addition to Star Wars glory, they will receive a unique one-of-a-kind trophy. And what's more, the winning act will appear on the popular starwars.com feature 'Star Wars Rocks' highlighting musicians who have been influenced by the 'Galaxy Far Far Away' (including ASH, Slipknot, Snow Patrol and Nine Inch Nails etc).
