Celebration II Souvenir Program
April 25, 2002

What better souvenir of Star Wars Celebration II than the Collectible Souvenir Program, a 100-page magazine chock-full of information about the three-day event as well as 25 years of Star Wars.

The magazine has a beautiful painted cover with Attack of the Clones original art by the talented Matt Busch, topped by an embossed logo of Celebration II. Inside are maps of both floors of the Indiana Convention Center, showing where all the events take place May 3, 4 and 5, as well as a map of downtown Indianapolis and other activities available while you're in town. There's a Licensee and Exhibitor directory, program highlights, a list of those celebrities who will be signing autographs, gaming options, two pages of program highlights, and an 11-page Who's Who of the celebrity guests at Celebration II.

The Souvenir Program contains articles about Star Wars props and a history of licensed electronic gaming, an article on the spectacular Toy Museum at the event put together by Cloud City Collectibles, and an extensive interview with Celebration II emcee Anthony Daniels. Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet contributes the program's lengthiest article, one that surveys 25 years of the Star Wars phenomenon and asks the question: Just how did George Lucas' space fantasy become a cultural icon from Brooklyn to Budapest?

The souvenir book is filled with ads for great new Star Wars products and give-aways, and a section of images from all five films in the saga.

As a special collectible treasure, the magazine contains a double-sided 8-page foldout poster of the real world and fantasy timelines of Star Wars. A big hit at Celebration I in Denver, the updated timelines will be back in Indianapolis May 3-5 as a series of giant 4-foot by 8-foot panels. Now, for the first time, you can take them home in a much handier size.

The Celebration II souvenir book will be available for purchase at kiosks throughout the convention center. There will also be a separate up-to-the-minute detailed schedule of events available free to all attendees, and a separate guide to the Lucasfilm Archives exhibit.
