Nope, no Star Wars yo-yos in the US, at least not for 20 years. Strange, since the sole expectation would have been to slap an X-wing or TIE fighter picture on a hunk of plastic and call it a day. Shameful. Simply shameful.
Produced by a company called Central American Yoyo (actually Takara), two plain black yo-yos were produced in Japan for 1978, one with C-3PO's name and the other with R2-D2's. Unimaginative? Maybe. But at least they filled the void left open by our own disinterested yo-yo makers.
