"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side." -
Han Solo Master Replicas is adding a trio of blaster pistols to their amazing assortment of classic trilogy prop replicas, and all three are now available for pre-order at StarWarsShop.com.
As Darth Vader's Star Destroyer overtook the helpless Tantive IV, a squad of Rebel defenders fought a doomed holding action to repel the inevitable Imperial invaders. One of the first images of A New Hope was of the helmeted Rebel crew holding their blaster pistols at the ready, nervously awaiting the dreadful battle to come.
Master Replicas reproduces the classic Rebel blaster pistol in a metal replica with ABS parts and detailing. It weighs almost 30 pounds. Like the real prop used in the films, this blaster (dubbed a BlasTech DH-17 in technical guides) was modeled after a 1950s British submachine gun - the same real-world gun that became the basis of the stormtrooper blaster. In crafting the Rebel blaster, prop designers covered the real machine gun's vent holes with a tube of ribbed, rolled metal, tipped with a cone attached to the muzzle.
Numerous version of this prop were made for filming, including "stunt" prop versions with differing detail. Master Replicas crafted this blaster on the blank-firing "hero" version of the prop.
The Rebel Trooper Blaster is limited to 2,500 units worldwide, and ships this fall. To pre-order this item from StarWarsShop.com, click here.
Probably the most common blaster used in the classic Star Wars trilogy is the rifle used by Imperial stormtroopers. When Han and Luke sneak aboard the Death Star, they too brandish this type of blaster.
Though the BlastTech E-11 has been reproduced in simpler toy versions numerous times, this prop replica is so accurate that it almost weighs as much as the real thing. Based on the hero prop version, Master Replicas has crafted an exacting duplicate machined from metal with ABS parts and detailings.
The Stormtrooper Blaster is limited to 2,500 units worldwide, and ships this October. To pre-order this item from StarWarsShop.com, click here.
Cornered by Imperial troopers, Princess Leia defends herself with an elegant-looking blaster pistol that befits her royal status. Master Replicas has reproduced the prop, known as a DDC Defender sporting blaster. The original filming prop was cobbled together from a Soviet .22 caliber target pistol dressed with coiled cord and finned components.
Curiously, this prop never made it to the Lucasfilm Archives, and was thought lost for years. Master Replicas tracked down the original in a private collection in England. Based on this original, and a mint condition period Soviet target pistol used in the original prop recipe, Master Replicas was able to create an extremely accurate rendition of Leia's signature weapon.
This prop replica will be available both a signed Signature Edition and unsigned Limited Edition. The Signature Edition Princess Leia Blaster, signed by Carrie Fisher, is limited to only 750 units worldwide. The unsigned prop replica is limited to 2,500 units. Both are scheduled to ship in August.

These blaster replicas each come with custom display case with numbered plaque, plaque stand, and certificate of authenticity. Purchase of each blaster includes a one-year membership in the Master Replicas Collectors Society.
