Coming this Fall: Galactic Heroes!
April 27, 2004

Here comes a line of toys perfect for the youngest fans, but with such a fresh and unique style that older collectors are sure to want to play too -- the Galactic Heroes collection from Hasbro.

Continuing the adorable styling and rugged playability of the Playskool Star Wars Big Adventures line that debuted in 2002, Star Wars Galactic Heroes are the perfect way for youngsters to develop new and exciting tales set in a galaxy far, far away. This new line set to debut this fall includes three waves of paired action figures, ready for adventure.

Wave one focuses on the heroes of the original trilogy. With many youngsters being introduced to the saga by this fall's DVD release, these figures are coming out just in time. Young Rebel hero Luke Skywalker comes with his trusty astromech sidekick, R2-D2. The ever-bickering Han Solo and Princess Leia come together as a set. The former-friends-turned-enemies Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader are paired together. For repairing the Falcon, you can trust Chewbacca the Wookiee and C-3PO to get the job done.

The second wave of figures spotlights characters from Attack of the Clones. The young lovers Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker are paired together, the Jedi Master Yoda comes with a well-armored clone trooper, and young Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to square off against the bounty hunter Jango Fett.

The third wave features bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back. The assassin droid IG-88 comes with the insect-faced alien Zuckuss. The armored Boba Fett comes with the bandage-wrapped Dengar. The lizard-like Bossk comes with the bug-eyed 4-LOM.

These figures were originally planned as an exclusive, but instead will be made available at most major toy retailers. Also coming this fall is the return of the Millennium Falcon, now in Galactic Heroes packaging. This great toy features authentic Star Wars sound effects, "firing" laser cannons, and comes with three figures: Han Solo, Chewbacca and C-3PO.
