Serving Up Wuher
February 21, 2000

[ Serving Up Wuher ]He has three lines, a face only a thirsty patron could love, and the gruffest demeanor this side of Mos Eisley, but to action figure collectors, Wuher the bartender is a superstar.

Wuher works in Chalmun's seedy cantina, near the center of Mos Eisley. The dour human dislikes nearly everything and everyone, but droids are his most common target. To keep them out of the shady establishment, the management has installed a warbling droid detector, which alerts Wuher to any wayward mechanical that may wander in.

[ Serving Up Wuher ]When collectors believed that Hasbro had dropped Wuher from their production schedule, fan-based petitions to "save Wuher" became the center-piece of a grassroots campaign to get this action figure into the public eye.

The wait is over. The crooked-nosed jurijuice slinger is now immortalized in plastic - a first for Wuher - and available exclusively through The Official Star Wars Fan Club and shop.starwars.com. The 3.75" Wuher action figure comes complete with the droid detector, a drinking cup that fits in his hand, and an exclusive Star Wars Celebration pass featuring his grim visage. The pass has a holographic security backing to ensure its authenticity.

shop.starwars.com is now accepting Wuher pre-orders for March shipments.
