Briggs has worked for Technicolor, Universal, and Disney and worked with Lucasfilm for over two years on the restoration of the Star Wars trilogy. He was responsible for making sure that the film was handled properly between vendors.

Briggs has also been involved with the restoration of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Fantasia, and other Disney classics.

Leon Briggs was born and raised in Hollywood, California and attended Los Angeles City College.
