Gary Kurtz produced
George Lucas'
American Graffiti (1973) before lending his talents to
Star Wars and
The Empire Strikes Back. He has since produced Jim Henson's
The Dark Crystal (1982),
Return to Oz (1985),
Slipstream (1989), and
The Steal (1994).
His daughters, Melissa and Tiffany, portrayed Jawas in A New Hope.
